Sydney properties selling above their asking price
MORE Sydney homes are selling above their asking price than in any other capital city, exclusive data reveals.
The RP Data report for Aussie showed that 59.5 per cent of houses and 63.6 per cent of apartments in the greater Sydney area sold for more than their listed price last financial year.
Melbourne was the next best at 50.4 per cent for houses and 45.4 per cent for units. The other capitals ranged between 15 per cent and 40 per cent.

A study by RP Data shows there are still hidden pockets of affordability in Sydney.
Their figures show 16 suburbs within 20km of the city still have a median unit price below $400,000 — 11 of which are in Parramatta, Bankstown or Canterbury council areas.
